Charles Pluta – IT Service Integration

I received an email yesterday inviting me to the Microsoft Office 2010 Technical Preview. Needless to say I began downloading the file immediately and will be giving it a try for both personal and work use. I haven’t opened it up yet but will be doing so today and trying all my spreadsheets and things in 2010.

I also encountered a weird corrupted database issue yesterday. The software (Zetafax) couldn’t recognize the database file, but its utility program could. Reindexing the file did not help it, however, I was able to make a backup to ASCII, rename the old database, and restore the database to a new file and it worked fine. After that, the index file size increased 10x. How do index files just magically get messed up?
